Almost Friends – Again, Not Again (CD)

These songs were written quietly, in between things, in moments that did not seem important at the time. One more night, one more room, one more voice not quite steady. They come from distance and closeness at once, from trying to hold on to something while already feeling it slip away.

“Again, not again” is about returning. To people, to thoughts, to the same feelings that never quite resolve. One more time, and then again. There is comfort in that repetition and this is something we wanted. The songs stay with small details, a voice, a room, a line that keeps echoing, because sometimes that is all that remains. One more look, one more breath between breaths.

Nothing here is certain. Some words are left unfinished, some feelings are only half understood. One more thought, another one. But everything is meant honestly, as it was felt in the moment.

This is a record about staying, even when staying is difficult. About leaving, even when nothing has really ended.
