commuter started as a musical project of Dionysis Koutavas (vocals/guitar) in Athens (Greece) in 2019. The project became a full band in October 2021 with the addition of Dimitris Koutsoulis (drums), Spilios Kakkas (bass/vocals) and Alexandros Kolokythas (guitar). Influenced by the post-punk sounds of the Canadian scene as well as the new wave of UK among others, the band has played live shows alongside popular Greek bands (The Steams, Deaf Radio) and international as well (Dry Cleaning, Protomartyr, SONS, Unschooling). commuter released their first self-titled EP in January 2023 on all streaming platforms and cassette via Bitter Tea Records. Their debut full-length album is expected to be released in October of 2024, available on digital and vinyl format.
