The cult Liverpudlian act The La’s are truly in a league of their own. Despite releasing only a single album, their influence on generations of indie bands has been remarkably far-reaching. Issued in October 1990, their self-titled debut has since earned legendary status hailed by NME as one of the greatest albums ever made. It went on to sell 300,000 copies in the US and a further 500,000 at home.
No shortage of that reputation rests on the single ‘There She Goes’, a reissue of which racked up double-platinum sales figures. The La’s have more than secured their place in British music history.
